At our Teachers’ Meet on 29th June, we’ll be officially launching our ‘Create an African Kettle display’ competition!

Take part in the competition and you could  win one of fantastic global artefacts for your school!

To enter, simply download and make copies of our African Kettle Colouring Page and ask your pupils to colour or decorate them. Then use the finished pictures to create a vibrant display in your school, take a photo of your display, and email it to us at:

Also available to download, is a copy of a lesson plan “What is so special about a plastic kettle” which explains how the kettle can be a stimulus for global learning. If you wish to buy a kettle you can order them direct from Amazon or via our site.

The first prize is one of our Locality Resource Packs worth £79.50

The second prize is a pack of our 3 storybooks – Fatou’s First Day, Liling Looks Around & Jose Helps Out with a CD version of each book and teacher’s notes worth £60

The third prize is a set of our suite of newspapers from around the world, The Serrekunda Enquirer (Gambia), The India Enquirer & The China Enquirer worth £45

Entries must be submitted by Friday 14th July. The winners will be selected and contacted on Monday 17th July.
